A New Era of Leadership
Welcoming Mary Ann Walker
as board chair
We are thrilled to introduce Mary Ann Walker as Providence Little Company of Mary Foundation’s new board chair. Mary Ann was born in Los Angeles and raised in Sonora, Mexico. With a
degree from Webster University, she embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that led to the creation of Walker Advertising. Walker Advertising seeks to bridge the gap between law firms and an underserved community’s need for trustworthy legal services. Recognizing that many Latinos did not receive the justice they deserved simply because they did not speak English well, Mary Ann shared her concerns with attorneys and proposed they publicize their services in the
Hispanic community, leading to the creation of Los Defensores and, later, 1-800-THE-LAW2.
Mary Ann has lived in the South Bay for 40 years and is active with several nonprofit and for-profit boards. Her motivation to give back is rooted in a strong desire to support her community.
“Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center is a vital resource for health care in the South Bay. I am happy to chair the Foundation board helping to support and inspire others to
support our community’s medical centers at Providence Little Company of Mary San Pedro and Torrance,” she shares.
We are confident that her vast experience, coupled with her deep commitment, positions Mary Ann to steer Providence Little Company of Mary toward even greater achievements. Her
leadership promises not only to uphold the legacy of excellence we cherish but also to inspire new heights of success and community service.
