Torrance Emergency Care Reimagined
Help expand and transform the Emergency Department at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance.
Your support will help reimagine emergency care for the South Bay.
For generations, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance has provided compassionate care when it matters most. But as the South Bay has grown, the need for emergency services has grown with it.
The current 29-bed Emergency Department was designed to serve approximately 45,000 patients annually. In 2025, it cared for more than 70,000 patients. Philanthropic support will help expand and modernize this vital front line of care, allowing patients to be evaluated sooner and treated with greater privacy, dignity and safety.
Your Impact
Your generosity will help create a modern Emergency Department prepared to meet the growing needs of the South Bay.
Faster Access to Care
Your support will help create additional triage and re-evaluation rooms, along with dedicated blood draw and EKG spaces near the entrance. These improvements will allow testing and treatment to begin sooner, reduce bottlenecks and help patients receive answers more quickly.
Greater Privacy and Dignity
Private registration rooms and thoughtfully designed care spaces will protect patient confidentiality and provide a more supportive environment from the first conversation. Dedicated settings will also better serve pediatric and behavioral health patients, families and individuals experiencing a crisis.
More Capacity, Safety and Efficiency
The expanded Emergency Department will be designed to care for nearly twice as many patients each day. Improved visibility, co-located nurse and provider stations and more efficient workflows will help caregivers communicate, make decisions and respond to patients more quickly and safely.
Support Emergency Care in the South Bay
Your gift will help expand and redesign the Emergency Department so patients can be seen sooner, treated in the right setting and cared for with the privacy, safety and respect they deserve. Together, we can ensure that our community has access to trusted, compassionate emergency care today and for generations to come.
