As our area continues to face unprecedented challenges as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the San Pedro and Torrance communities have stood with Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers. Since the beginning of the crisis, more than $158,348 has been raised specifically for COVID-19 Response.
Our community has also provided other special gifts in support of our COVID-19 Response efforts, including:
- 213,700 masks
- 719 coveralls/scrubs
- 31,000 pairs of gloves
- 3,269 face shields
- 925 goggles
- 20 grocery gift cards
- 200 gas gift cards
- 163 Starbucks gift cards
- 192 boxes of coffee pods
- 20 Keurig machines
- 8 Ring doorbells
- 5 bottles of Lysol disinfectant
- 12 packages of paper towels
- 264 bottles of hand sanitizer
Because of the compassion and generosity of neighbors like you, Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Centers can remain on the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. Recovered coronavirus patient Ramon Zuniga spent 20 days on a ventilator while receiving treatment. But upon recovering and being released, Ramon’s message to the front line workers at Providence Little Company of Mary was simple: “I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you so much. I’m so grateful.”
